Start monitoring

Open the … menu in the prospect list and choose Monitor, or use the Monitor button on the What you're waiting for card of a Wait report. Pick an interval:

• Every week
• Every month
• Every quarter

Optionally, describe what to watch for, such as a new head of marketing or a funding round. Every check looks for it, and the email tells you whether it happened.

A monitored prospect shows a monitor icon in the Date column. From the same menu you can edit, pause or cancel monitoring.

Every check is a report

Each check writes a fresh report and uses 1 report from your monthly volume. When your volume is used up, the check waits and the list shows Waiting for report volume. It starts by itself as soon as volume is available.

The update email

After each check you get an email with:

• The verdict, and what it was before.
• What you were watching for, and whether it seems to have happened.
• The decision-maker.
• What changed, and which signals are new.
• Hooks you can use.

The email goes to the person who set up monitoring. If they left the organization, it goes to the owners. If a check fails, you get an email about that too.

What counts as a change

Vintoo compares the new report with the previous one on facts, not wording. A signal that is phrased differently but says the same thing is not a change. Up to three genuinely new signals are listed.

The History section under Company details shows every report and how the verdict moved.
